No paid placement. No company can buy a position, a listing or a removal. Nothing on this site is for sale, no developer, broker or agency has paid for anything here, and no advertising is carried. Rank is computed from the public column named on this page and from nothing else.
How this list is ranked, and what would move a company up it
Rank is the number of companies carrying each form, largest group first. The form is classified by reading the end of the printed name: Private Limited or Pvt. Ltd., LLP, (OPC) Private Limited, Limited without the word private, or the word Proprietor. A name that ends in none of those is counted as printing no legal form.
That last group is the second largest here, and it matters for a reason that has nothing to do with the companies in it. Where a register prints a trading name with no legal form, the same business can appear in two registers under two spellings and this site has no identifier that would let it merge them safely. Every unconfirmed pair on the methodology page is a pair where one side prints a legal form and the other does not.
What would move a form up this list. More companies appearing in these registers under that form, or a register printing a fuller version of a name it currently abbreviates. Nothing here says anything about a company's size, standing or constitution: an LLP and a private limited company are different legal structures, not better and worse ones, and this page ranks how often each is printed, nothing more.
What each form means here
- No legal form printed. The register prints a trading name with no legal form attached. That is a fact about how the register writes the name, not about how the business is constituted. 15 companies
- Private limited company. A private limited company, printed in full or as Pvt. Ltd. 10 companies
- Public or other limited company. A company printed as Limited without the word private, which includes the listed companies and the government joint-venture developer. 7 companies
- Limited liability partnership. A limited liability partnership, printed as LLP. 4 companies
- Proprietorship. The register names an individual and the firm they are proprietor of. 2 companies
- One person company. An OPC private limited company, which the register prints as (OPC) Private Limited. 1 company
Classification is mechanical and reproducible: run the same rule over the same printed names and you get the same six groups. Where a register prints a name inconsistently across two documents, both spellings are shown on that company's own page.

Check every row yourself
Each row above carries the identifier of the record it came from and, where the source publishes one, a link straight to the government page. The rule used to join a name in one register to a name in another is set out on the methodology page, the full company set is at the register, and the whole thing is downloadable as JSON and CSV. If a row is wrong, send the public document that shows it and it will be corrected and dated: [email protected].
